Some time ago, I wrote a Humor Article for Help Desk Notes, and since I could not find anything similar to it on the internet, I decided to enter it in a humor writing contest. I wrote My Safe Mode Dream back in August 2007. In February, I sent it to HumorPress.com, and I was pleasantly surprised when they contacted me to say that I was a finalist, especially since it was a short piece, and it can be hard enough to translate a technical humor to a non-technical audience.
