In some work environments, Thanksgiving week slows everything down. Many help desks get fewer calls, fewer requests, and people have more time to take a deep breath. That is not the case where I work!!! My customer base is international, so when people on my help desk go on vacation, we have fewer people to take care of requests, and the workload does not subside. Good thing I only have a three day week, because I am already beginning to feel like the bird in the picture below.
And to think that Turkey day is the prelude to an even bigger holiday - a holiday that you must really prepare for! Oh my!
Which ever holiday your family celebrates after Thanksgiving, there are usually decorations to put up, food to prepare, parties to attend, and presents to buy for many different people. To add to my towering help desk workload, I have opted to take 2 weeks of vacation in December. Hehehehe! I won't be caught up until February! And we call this a holiday?
That said, I want to wish you all of you in the US a very good Thanksgiving. (Canadians - Happy late Thanksgiving.) Which ever days you hold sacred, I hope they are happy and blessed!
