A survey of professionals directly involved in legal discovery shows that one in five businesses fold when faced with a lawsuit rather than pay the cost of searching through thousands of emails. Help Desk managers are often faced with following up on email research - especially when it involves "surprise" terminations.
So why do companies fail when it comes to researching email involved in lawsuits? The survey was conducted by iTracks for Fortiva. Fortiva is a leading on-demand email archiving provider. I found their website to be quite informative about e-discovery issues.
