IT Service Desk Software: Numara Offers an ITIL Wizard

Numara Software has updated their service management platform Footprints 8.  This European company offers a new ITIL Wizard so IT departments can create a complete IT service management framework.  The application is web-based, and is therefore compatible with all mainstream Operating systems, and they do offer a 30-day free trial.  I found that some of the descriptions of features were NOT clearly written, but here are some features that I found unique that were not so vaguely explained:

  • Support for extensive, multi-level, IT, compliance, and business approvalFootprints%20ITIL%20software.jpg workflow integrated into multiple business processes
  • Supports project and personal calendars, agent availability, and recurring maintenance tasks
  • Corporate directories, email, calendar, CRM, telephony, SQL-based databases, and other applications via Web services
  • Sarbanes-Oxley, IT Governance
  • Completely customizable fields, forms, templates, workflow, roles, look & feel
  • Customizable notifications, auto incident creation, email conversation management
  • Customizable web portals and content
  • Calendar, Tasks and Contacts for Outlook®, Outlook Express®, Lotus Notes®, Blackberry®, Palm® Desktop, and Pocket PC (optional module)
  • Integrated asset discovery and audit of Windows PCs, Macs, UNIX, and Linux, WAN support
