Since I get a a high volume of readers looking for information about Help Desk positions I would like to follow-up on my previous post about AT&T openings in Louiville, KY. (Read my previous post to get the whole story.) Here is what I have gathered so far:
According to a brief story in the Courier-Journal on August 22nd, 350 jobs will be relocated from overseas to Louisville,KY. The new center will assist the companies internet subscribers. I did not find a resource with a date saying when AT&T will start taking applications, but I did find a source for some DSL support positions that said you need to go to www.att.jobs, click on BellSouth Opportunities, Click Occupational/Hourly Positions, search under Louisville. I checked this, and I even checked Monster, with no results for technical positions. Never-the-less, if you are searching for a job in the Louisville area, keep watching. Communications Workers of America put the "choke hold" on AT&T last year in settlement. See my previous post for more. Other IT centers were to open in other parts of the country as well in the following locations: Las Vegas, Nevada and Indianapolis, Indiana.
