Don’t get too excited about the federal minimum wage increase if you work on a help desk. Since the average Help Desk Salary in the US is about $43,767 a year for help desk analysts, and $79,315 for help desk managers, the minimum wage hike is not going to have a direct impact. Workers who make less than $7.25 an hour are most likely to see a pay increase, since they are within a few dollars of the minimum wage. Many employers may increase wages below $7.25 an hour in order to maintain their internal wage structure.
